1st Grade watched a short video about Earth Day from Habit Heroes and then talked about things they could do to help the earth and then drew pictures of why they love the earth or what they can do to help the earth:
2nd Grade also watched a short video about Earth Day from Habit Heroes and then talked about things they could do to help the earth and then drew pictures of why they love the earth or what they can do to help the earth. They also wrote a sentence about why they love the earth and what they pledge to do to help the earth. Their pictures and their words were then added to the global project Planet Festo.
6th Grade was introduced to the Planet Festo project and discussed ways in which they could help they earth. They then created pictures of why they love the earth using Paint and uploaded them to the Planet Festo project along with their words about why they love the earth and their pledges to help the earth.
7th & 8th Grades watched a presentation called The Story of Stuff and then discussed this presentation and how their "stuff" might be effecting the world around them. They were then introduced to the Planet Festo project and discussed ways in which they could help they earth. 7th Grade then created pictures of why they love the earth using Paint or KidPix and uploaded them to the Planet Festo project along with their words about why they love the earth and their pledges to help the earth. 8th Grade optionally created their own pictures in Paint or chose a stock photo from the PlanetFesto site and added their contributions to the Planet Festo ribbon.
